I found these adorable glitter unicorn ornaments at World Market (Cost Plus to those of us from California). I was so excited that I bought all of them from our local store since this year we will be having a Pink Christmas (more on that in future posts). So we got to checkout at we put them on the counter to pay and like magic, there was glitter everywhere. The girl who worked at the store was not amused and knew she would soon be covered in glitter and she wasn't exactly the type to be excited about glitter all over her face. This obviously had me concerned since the whole reason we are having a Pink Christmas tree this year was because of our almost 20 month old toddler. We are going with a smaller, faux tree and minimal hopefully un-breakable ornaments. The last thing I wanted was Audrey covered in glitter so I found a solution. It cost me under $4 and took less than 4 minutes.
I put one coat of clear enamel spray on my super cute unicorn ornaments using a piece of cardboard for the overspray and like magic, the once shedding glitter everywhere adorable unicorn ornaments are now twice as cute because they leave nothing behind when you touch them. I would suggest spraying them outside. This spray will work on almost any glitter covered ornament, not just adorable unicorns. I found the spray on Amazon Prime but it is also sold at some craft stores and lots of hardware stores. Be sure to get the glossy crystal clear spray so you don't dull your sparkling glitter shine! Now you can have some major sparkle this Christmas without ending up covered in glitter! Awesome!
