If you have ever been to Chuy's, you know about the amazing creamy jalapeño that is offered along with their many other fabulous sauces and salsas. I will admit that before moving out of Southern California, I had never heard of queso, let alone would I have ever dreamed of dipping a chip in something that looked like ranch dressing. Then Chuy's opened in Nashville...everything I had known about California style Mexican food went out the window. Queso is served in so many places. It is practically it's own food group here in Texas. Jalapeño ranch? Yes! Now I can't get enough. We would take some home for every party we had, and though I live somewhat close to a Chuy's, here in Dallas, I wanted to try to make a version here at home.
We have tacos in my home often and pretty much every Tuesday. Now it may be even more often since this recipe turned out pretty great. I hope you make it and let me know what you use it on. Some of our favorites are tacos, fish, steak, chicken and pork, nachos, with chips, bacon wrapped jalapeño tater tots, and grilled chicken salad. Double check your ingredients but this recipe can be made Gluten Free!
